We Are Cedar is hosting a new show. It's time to check out some of your favorite local artists and then some!!
On Saturday, October 3rd, come get your art, music, and socialization on as we debut our brand new showcase!!! There will be a a dedication to the local music scene photo series withLoretta Canham of Shutter Punk Photography! On opening day, we will have live music from The Plastic Jewels, and many more performers will be added! The opening will be from 2-8 p.m. and we encourage all showcasing artists to be there! concessions will also be provided, and everyone is welcome to sidewalk chalk the grounds in front of Cedar! our showcase will be held upstairs, above Cedar hall. July, 2015 - Open Invitation Art Show. Sagebrush Cafe is putting out a call to Antelope Valley artists to participate in an open invitation art show this month. 42104 50th St W, Quartz Hill, California The Regarding Us Chain Letter Project is a self-curated group exhibition celebrating creativity in the Antelope Valley. The process began with a small group of artists who were initially invited to show their work by community engagement artist Rebecca Niederlander. This group then each invited 5 artists to also participate. Those 5 invited 5 more artists, thus leading to your invitation. The process will continue on with more invitations until the installation date. The result is an exponentially massive, community-curated project filled with work by an extraordinary array of Antelope Valley creatives. The Regarding Us Chain Letter Project is a part of Antelope Valley Art Outpost, a creative placemaking project that supports regional vitality in the Antelope Valley.

BUTLERS COFFEEHOUSE: Mythology and Fairytales !!! The theme for this season's art exhibit at Butler's Coffee was Mythology and Fairytales. The show opened on June 13th and will go through September. Congratulations to the Winners of the Mythology and Fairytales themed show!! Our judge, Frank Robert Dixon, had a tough time choosing the winners. He gave several pieces an honorable mention in addition to the usual awards. The artists who attended chose as their favorite, Julie O'Sullivan's Little Big Giant.Best Photo award was given to Donal O'Sullivan for Bilbo's Forest. Cinco de Mayo Celebration of the Hispanic Heritage of California. Opening reception May 9th at the Latino Art Museum in downtown Pomona at the Artwalk.
